A 69-year-old man has been charged with firearm offences following a standoff in Moree last night.
Barwon police attended a house in Dover St at around nine o’clock after becoming concerned for the man’s welfare.
Police forced their way into the house, but retreated when they saw the man allegedly holding two rifles.
He eventually left the house and was arrested.
