The field in the race to see who will represent the Liberal Party in the seat of Maitland at the March state election has narrowed, with Lisa Tierney withdrawing.
In a statement released on Wednesday morning, Lisa Tierney said she was pulling out of the pre-selection race due to a medical issue involving one of her children that “must take priority.”
Ms Tierney, who is also a Newcastle Councillor, says she informed the Liberal State party Director of her decision last week.
