There’s been a sad end to the story about a Leopard Seal, discovered yesterday at Horseshoe Beach in Newcastle.
The seal died while being taken to an RSPCA clinic this morning.
National Parks and Wildlife Service staff stayed with the animal at the beach last night, but her condition deteriorated.
The seal had a very low blood count, was malnourished and was suffering from a deep, infected wound.
