An elderly man has been hit by a falling tree at Eltham on the far north coast.
It’s believed the accident happened while the 76-year-old was helping a friend clear large trees at a Macadamia plantation on Taylors Road.
The patient was airlifted to Lismore Base Hospital suffering critical head injuries.
