The fate of the heavy rail line into Newcastle won’t be known until mid-year.
Members of the Save Our Rail group today attended a directions hearing at the Supreme Court, which ruled that the matter will be heard on July 15 and 16 at the New South Wales Court of Appeal.
In December, the Supreme Court issued the state government with an injunction preventing removal of the rail line without an act of parliament.
