NEW PATHWAY TO GLENBAWN DAM

Tourists and locals will now have easier access to Glenbawn Dam.
Today the broad crossing bridge that crosses the Hunter River near Scone was opened.
“it means so much for the local community and in fact the whole upper hunter region there’s about 30,000 visitors that come lake Glenbawn every year and his is the major route for them.”
The old bridge was washed away in 2011, when water was released from the dam.
The $2 million construction was funded by Upper Hunter Shire Council and the state government.
