BALLINA AND BYRON GIVEN FUNDING BOOST FOR COASTLINE MANAGEMENT

Ballina and Byron’s crumbling coastlines are in the spotlight, with councils receiving a funding boost to assist coastal management.

The state government will award $70,000 to Byron Shire Council to assist with ongoing erosion problems and hazard assessment studies.

While Ballina council is set to receive more than $30,000 to assist with long-term planning solutions, including the shire’s Coastal Managament Progam.
