Last week’s king tides and massive swells have wreaked havoc with the coastline at Ocean Shores.
South Golden and New Brighton beaches have both lost up to three metres of sand, and the coastal viewing platforms are on the brink of collapse.
Beach access has been closed to South Golden Beach at Pacific Avenue, as well as Peter, Helen and Robin Streets.
The damaged viewing platforms will be removed this week.
