A fallen powerline caused headaches for motorists travelling along the Oxley Highway at Port Macquarie this morning.
It came down at the intersection at Fernhill Road at around 9:30, blocking traffic in all directions.
Police and the State Emergency Service assisted in traffic control, while Essential Energy cleared the site.
Around 1,600 homes in Port Macquarie and Sherwood, as well as some on the eastern side of Wauchope, were without power for more than an hour.
Essential Energy is investigating how the powerline came down.
