WOMAN CHARGED FOR DELIBERATELY LIGHTING GUNNEDAH HOUSEFIRE

A woman has been charged with deliberately lighting a house fire in Gunnedah two months ago.

Around 10:30pm on November 20, fire crews were called to a property on Quia Road.

The blaze took several hours to extinguished but unfortunately the house was completely destroyed.

Police arrested the 46-year-old at a Gunnedah home yesterday and charged her with property damage in excess of $15,000.

She was granted conditional bail to front Gunnedah Local Court on Tuesday.
