WEATHER: ROLLER COASTER WEATHER FOR THE CHRISTMAS WEEK

It has been extremely hot over the weekend. Today the southerly swept in across the Greater Hunter and rain is on the way. There’s a large NW moisture feed stretching across the nation attached to a deepening low which will likely become a cyclone over the Gulf Country in the coming days. The rain band moving our way is slow moving and will make for a cool, overcast, wet day on the Central Coast, Hunter Valley and MNC tomorrow. This system will slowly move north but it will remain mostly fine for the far NE corner of NSW and SE QLD. We should get a break from the rain on Christmas day for most of the region but for northern NSW and SE QLD there’ll be a good chance that showers will affect the day. There’s another rain bearing system to move in from Boxing Day.
