STATE GRANT FOR WALLIS LAKE DREDGING

The New South Wales Government has allocated $400,000 for dredging in Wallis Lake, to preserve the region’s multi-million dollar oyster industry.
The Department of Primary Industries has consulted Great Lakes Council and oyster growers to develop a project proposal.
It will involve dredging more than 34,000 cubic metres from the channels and leases.
A start date for the project will be set in the near future.
