JOCKEY CLUB CEO SACKED

The CEO of the Clarence River Jockey Club,Bradley de Martino Rosaroll, has had his contract terminated.

The surprise move follows this year’s less than successful Grafton Racing Carnival, which saw a drop in crowds and disappointing fields in the Ramornie Handicap and the Grafton Cup.

Board Chairman, Graeme Green, said the club needed to adopt new strategies to deal with dwindling crowd numbers and competition from city race days.

The former CEO, who has worked for the club for five years, said he was leaving on amicable terms with the committee.
