TAMWORTH COUNCIL ON THE HUNT FOR YOUNG LEADERS

Tamworth Regional Council is on the hunt for the leaders of tomorrow.

It’s encouraging teenagers across the region to apply for a position in the city’s Youth Council.

The elected group represents Tamworth’s youth on matters that affect them, such as the availability of recreational facilities.

The program also helps participants improve their public speaking skills.

“Through the help of the Youth Council, there’s been so many learning opportunities such as developing skills to get people to appreciate your opinion and then being able to express that opinion.”
