Gavin Morris

Gavin has been working in the media for more than 30 years, beginning his career as a DJ working with some of Australia’s leading radio stations including 2MMM-FM, K-Rock and NEW-FM. 

Before joining the team at NBN News in 2009 as the 6pm weather presenter, Gavin was Senior Forecaster with The Weather Channel. Here he covered some of Australia’s biggest weather disasters including the Victorian Black Saturday bushfires and the devastating storms that hit the Brisbane suburb The Gap.

In January 2022 Gavin took up the position of NBN News co-anchor of the 6pm bulletin alongside Natasha Beyersdorf.  Gavin also regularly appears on the Today Show reporting on weather events as well as summer host of Weekend Today.
