Sawtell’s annual Barney Miller Surf Classic gets underway tomorrow with some of the best surfers in the region taking part.
The two day event, which is in its 13th year, is a major fundraiser for people who have disabilities as a result of accidents.
The competition is now one of the region’s most popular surfing events.
Barney Miller, who lives in Sawtell, became a quadriplegic when he was involved in a car accident.
Now he’s helping to raise money for others in a similar situation.
