FUNDING TO IMPROVE RECREATIONAL FISHING
Anglers are being encouraged to apply for state government funding to help improve recreational fishing programs.
Money generated from the sale of New South Wales recreational fishing licenses will be placed into two separate trusts, which will then be reinvested back into the sport.
The state government has allocated $14-million this year to improve programs such as fish stocking, artificial reefs and fishing facilities.
Funding is open to individuals, groups and organisations.
Applications close on the 2nd of March.
