FATAL CRASH AT CRESCENT HEAD
Police believe alcohol and speed were factors in a crash which killed a man and left three others injured on the mid-north-coast last night.
A 25-year-old Kempsey man died after he lost control of his car on Crescent Head Road at Crescent Head around 10 o’clock.
It crashed into a number of trees – the impact ejecting all four men.
The driver died at the scene – the three passengers were taken to hospital with broken bones.
“Five years ago there was a crash exactly the same. It’s unbelievable to think that five years later, standing at virtually the same spot, with the same type of driving. It proves I guess that people don’t learn lessons until they learn them the hard way.”
The Kempsey Crash Investigation Unit is preparing a report for the coroner.
