Seven common assault charges have been dropped against a former Nambucca Valley police officer.
Travis Pocock’s case was heard in Coffs Harbour Local Court today – the magistrate saying he was not satisfied beyond reasonable doubt of a conviction… due to unreliable prosecution witnesses, uncorroborated evidence and witness disregard for police process.
Pocock has pleaded guilty to two other charges – common assault and perverting the course of justice.
The case has been adjourned to January – to allow time to prepare applications, to have the matter dealt with on mental health grounds.
