A man and a woman will face court after a man died with stab wounds in Newcastle over the weekend.
It’s believed the 22-year-old man died after a brawl broke out along Beaumont Avenue, Hamilton, at about 2.40am on Sunday morning.
The man suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to hospital, where he died a short time later.
A 27-year-old North Lambton man was arrested in Waratah, Newcastle, at about 11am yesterday and charged with murder.
He was refused bail and will appear in court today.
At about 5.10pm yesterday, a 33-year-old woman was arrested at a bus stop in Bankstown, Sydney.
She was charged with murder and was refused bail to appear in court today.
The investigation is ongoing.
