Sawtell is home to a new world champion – after Scotty Schindler took out the over 50’s men’s title, at this year’s ISA World Masters Championships in El Salvador.
The 53-year-old says the event was his shot at redemption, after bowing out early in 2013 – crediting his success to his supporters back home.
