A 19-year-old man who police allege has never held a licence, has been charged over a police pursuit in the New England area.
Officers say they tried to stop a car on Niagara Street in Armidale around 1:30pm yesterday when they were patrolling.
They started a chase, which stopped just before Bundarra, with the Hyundai found 10 kilometres north of the town.
Two large hunting knives and a machete were seized, while the driver allegedly returned a positive drug test.
The man was also charged with four domestic violence-related offences relating to incidents in Moree in February and March this year.
The man has been bailed to face Armidale Local Court later this month.
