It was a wakeup call of a different kind for the owners of this Berkeley Vale home.
A car crashed into their garage on Kurraba Road just before one-o’clock.
The driver responsible fled from the scene in the car.
But neighbours were able to get his number plate, and police are now investigating.
No one was injured.
