Body of teen found during search of waterhole on NSW north coast
The body of a 15-year-old boy who went missing at a waterhole on the NSW north coast has been found following a wide-scale search.
Emergency services were called to Angourie Green Pool, 5km south of Yamba, about 3pm yesterday following reports a teenage boy was missing after jumping from a rock ledge.
Officers attended and a search was launched with assistance from Surf Lifesavers, police divers and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
The body of a teenage boy was recovered from the water about 10pm.
He has now been formally identified as the missing swimmer.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
