There must be something in the water in Tamworth – with two of its rising boxing stars winning big at the amateur league titles in Tasmania.

Born and bred in the Manning Valley, Rob Douglas joined the Taree bureau in June 2021 after a short career in print media. He joined the Tamworth team in July 2023. Rob graduated from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst in 2016 with a sports journalism degree.
