  1. Yes there is going to be a huge fight and I will be on the front line with my fellow neighbors here at the Tweed Heritage Park!!!!!

I am very concerned and disgusted at the thought of this natural water way being destroyed but something else that is worrying me is the fact that this road will be just a couple of metres from my relocatable home and the vibrations that we will feel, as well as the noise from the heavy vehicles during the construction and of course the constant traffic being Semi-Trailers etc, will make our lives HELL!!!!

This cannot happen and I will NOT give up the fight!!!!!

By the way, the little boy holding the ‘Save the Creek’ sign in the video is my young son and he cried when he saw this story! I am outraged! How can we be treated with such dis-respect!!

I will fight until the end!

  2. ah mr polglase i again urge you and all other councillors to read the inter-divisional memo sent by sandy pimm-specialist planner/ecologist dau dated 29 july 2009 because it was in your hands and you could have done something about it.if you can’t get your hands on a copy of it as the file is fairly extensive given this goes back to 2005 and it may have been misplaced,i will gladly send you a complete copy including maps.
your messing with my home and my family the fight is far from over…..

  3. Further to Suzanne Gray’s letter
Obviously Warren Polglase didn’t read Specialist Planner/Ecologist Sandy Pimm’s report as it clearly states “Historical photos from 1962 show it as a Natural Waterway” it also states “It is a key fish breeding habitat” and the “Protected species of Flora & Fauna should be protected”!
Somebody in council was so concerned with this report that they highlighted all the relevant pieces in the original report IN RED.
The report was also very concerned with the ACID SULFATE risk to the Tweed River, Sea Grass Beds, Mangroves, fish and health of the river with the Risk of Contaminated run off into the river.
Suzanne Gray asked who owns that land, well Mike Rayner GM signed as owner on the “sub division only” form so I presume he owns it.
Do the council actually read the applications or the reports they have done? OBVIOUSLY NOT!
