A 69-year-old woman has been charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm over a vicious stabbing at Tweed Heads south.
Police were called to a house on Kirkwood Road at around 7:30am yesterday morning, where they found a 55-year-old man with a stab wound to his neck.
He was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
The pensioner is assisting police with their enquiries.
The woman has been refused bail to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court today.
