Allanah Pitcher makes senior debut in Budapest

The Central Coast’s Allanah Pitcher has finished 21st in a gruelling 35-Kilometre walk, at the World Championships in Budapest.

The 19-year-old was the youngest in a field of 46, and admits she went out too fast in the hot and humid conditions.

She will now focus on the 20-kilometre event for next year’s Paris Olympics.

Meanwhile, Nicola Olyslagers has just commenced the qualifying round in the Women’s High Jump… with the Final to be held early Monday morning.
