Strong winds have caused a fire, that threatened properties at Gunnedah yesterday, to flare up again this afternoon.
A waterbombing aircraft was called in to support ground crews at around two o’clock, with authorities closing the Apex Road at Porcupine Lookout.
It’s believed a fallen power pole infested by whiteants may have sparked the blaze.
