Coast contingent to chase Surfest crown

With Day One of Surfest postponed, three of the Central Coast’s contingent will have to wait until tomorrow to hit the water in the Round of 128.

North Shelly powerhouse Shane Holmes has drawn Heat Four.

He’s followed by two teenagers – Jack Ragen and Australian Boardriders Battle winner Hughie Vaughan.

As a seeded surfer, Vaughan’s older brother Joel will have the luxury of waiting until the Round of 64.

The 19-year-old is currently ranked 28th on the World Tour Challenger Series, following his outstanding third place at the Central Coast Pro.
