One of Australia’s best known faces visited Newcastle, promoting his new book.
With 45 years of journalism under his belt, Ray Martin has penned the story of his life so far.
Ray said “I think people are surprised by my childhood, itinerant and poor, turbulent with a drunken father and a fairly violent past. Because people see you on television and you where a nice shirt and tie and you talk sort of proper and they believe that’s where you were brought up.”
