Man and woman drown at Frazer Beach on the Central Coast

A mother and father are now the latest case of drownings in NSW, after a family day at Frazer beach on the state’s Central Coast took a tragic turn.

It started as a family day-out.

Mum, dad and their five year old, enjoying the sand and the surf.

But like we’ve seen far too often this summer, it can all go wrong in seconds when the mother in her 40’s went for a swim and got caught in a rip.

Her husband on shore seeing her struggle, going to help before he became stuck as well.

Emergency services were called to Frazer Beach at Frazer Park on the Central Coast just before 4:20pm, following reports two people had been pulled from the water unresponsive.

Witnesses commenced CPR before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived; however, they could not be revived.

Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended and have commenced inquiries into the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
