Varsity Lakes is at the centre of a Bikie turf war.Two members of the Black Uhlans Outlaw Motorcycle Gang have faced court, charged with extortion.It’s alleged they ordered a tattooist to shut down his parlour, but the man believes he’s operating in Bandido territory.

The way the story is reported could lead people to think the tatoo parlour owner is linked to a bikie gang. I would like to state that I personally know the owner. He is an independent operator and has absolutely no affinity with any bikie gang!
The media has made this look like a turf war, I personaly know the owner and the situation far to well, This is not an issue of the owner knowing any of the politics of the bikie turf laws, He is an independent tattoo artist with no affiliation to either of these criminal organizations. The location for the shop was choosen due to no other tattoo shops in the area, therefore not interfering with other tattoo businesses, not knowing the politics to this bikie political crap. As far as the media states that the owner was under the understanding that he was in bandido territiory is false. He was also threatened by one of the bandidos that live in the area. As far as terriroty goes the owner was not aware of any turf laws. He is a innocent victim of these criminal bikie organizations politics.
Another example of the media adding insult to injury! As a valued client of the above mentioned tattoist, I can also vouch to his absolute non-affinity with any outlaw motorcycle club. He chose the area for its prime location for possible clients, and his choice had nothing to do with OMC politics. He has been a victim of bullying and extortion by both clubs mentioned, and certainly does not make claim to membership of either!
I believe a retraction or correction of the above story is called for.
