For the first time in three decades Ski Racing New South Wales is holding a state round on the Manning River.
Organisers made the last minute move to Taree, as Sydney’s Hawkesbury River continues to recover from the floods.
Cruical competition points are up for grabs, with competitors travelling from as far as Queensland and Victoria.
“We’ve got 8 races today and then tomorrow our long course so it’s really going to show the stamina of those competitors, it’s a much longer race for them,” Ski Racing NSW’s Jeneane Jordan said.
And it won’t be long before they’re back in town.
The acclaimed ‘Bridge to Beach’ will be held in four weeks time.
