To local football, and in the Football FNC Men’s Premier League, South Lismore has defeated Alstonville 6-5 in a penalty shootout.
They’ll now face off against the Rovers in next weekend’s Grand Final.
Meanwhile, the Alstonville women will meet Goonellabah in the Football Far North Coast Women’s premier league grand final after a 2-1 win over Maclean.
The club is also promoting its “Oceania Cup” all female tournament which will take place on the first weekend of October.
