A $2-million multi-purpose community centre has been opened in Coffs Harbour.
The Cavanbah Centre replaces a hall which was used by the city’s senior citizens as a meeting point.
The new centre next to the regional museum will cater for the different recreational and educational needs of a wide variety of community groups.
The centre features access ramps, built-in seating and a verandah-style roof.
The 260 square metre building also includes a kitchen and decks which can cater for up to 220 people.
