The family of Jesse Vilkelis-Curas – who died after being assaulted by two men…
have watched a recording in Lismore District court today of the moment the 24-year-old was fatally attacked.
A video of the attack that occurred near the Shaws Bay Hotel at East Ballina December 22 in 2019 was played, showing the moments leading up to the fatal blow.
The victim’s mum, grandfather and partner read their victim impact statements to the court about their devasting loss.
Mr Vilkelis-Curas died in hospital on Boxing Day two years ago.
