DRIVER TO FACE COURT AFTER HITTING PEDESTRIAN

A driver will face court next month, charged over a hit-and-run on the Central Coast.

Police say the man crashed into a parked ute at Forresters Beach around 7:30 last night, before clipping a pedestrian and leaving the scene.

The 26-year-old is then accused of assaulting a senior constable while being arrested.

Paramedics treated the 42-year-old victim for minor injuries – he was taken to Gosford Hospital in a stable condition.
