SUPER NEWS FOR SUPERCOAT SITE
Inverell Shire Council is in discussions with several companies that have expressed interest in taking over the town’s troubled Supercoat factory.
Nestle will cease operation at the plant in March and the factory site will be handed over to the council.
General Manager, Paul Hnery said there was an optomistic feeling about the site with five companies formally expressing interest.
“They are being considered in detail by both Nestle and the development support group that was set up to promote Inverell as a venue for business, ” said Mr Henry.
Nestle has also received expressions of interest for a separate bakery site that wasn’t included in the company’s gift to council.
