The statewide ban on community sport is leaving the start date for summer comps up in the air.

The Taree touch football season is among them, with players champing at the bit to get back on the park.

Born and bred in the Manning Valley, Rob Douglas joined the Taree bureau in June 2021 after a short career in print media. He joined the Tamworth team in July 2023. Rob graduated from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst in 2016 with a sports journalism degree.
