STATE FUNDING BOOSTS LINEUP FOR 50TH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL
Tamworth’s 50th Country Music Festival will boast a bigger line-up in January, thanks to $150,000 from the state government.
That money going to the ‘Stars Under the Stars’ program.
“We’re going to see some headline acts there that we’ve never seen before, certainly not performing for free. And it’s, purely, to attract more people to the event.”
Organisers say planning for festival continues, despite the Delta outbreak.
They’ll be following health guidelines and they’re prepared to mandate vaccine passports for those attending, if necessary.
“Let’s do for our muso’s, for our unsung heroes who we love to go and sing our hearts out to when they’re belting out our favourite tunes. Let’s do it for them, let’s get vaccinated, so that we’re all back on deck come 2022, January.”
