MID NORTH COAST HOCKEY EXPANSION COULD BE ON HORIZON

The Mid North Coast Hockey League is considering expanding.

The competition, run by the Manning and Port-Hastings associations, will look to invite Coffs Harbour and Grafton teams to join in future seasons.

This year’s finals were cancelled at the last minute on Saturday with no word yet on when they’ll be played.

Once the competition is done and dusted, organisers will start planning for the next.

“Plans for next year are just that ideas and thoughts but once we review the season this year and reflect on how successful it’s been there is some areas of improvement,” Manning Valley Hockey Association’s Tony Lewis said.

When they do get underway, the Sharks face Camden Haven in the men’s final.

While Port Thunder and Taree Tigers will meet in the women’s.
