FAR NORTH COAST PARTY GOERS FINED
Several party goers on New South Wales’ Far North Coast have been fined after attending birthday celebrations near Byron Bay.
Police received a number of calls about a house party in South Golden Beach around 9pm on Wednesday.
When officers arrived at the Robin Street home, a 54-year-old woman told them they were hosting a birthday party.
Police found six other people inside – some hiding under bed sheets and behind a garden shed.
All seven people, aged between 29 and 61, were issued with $1,000 fines for breaching public health orders.
Tweed Byron Police are now looking into other guests who ran from the home when police arrived.
