MID NORTH COAST HOCKEY FINALS UP IN THE AIR

The status of the Mid North Coast Hockey League competition remains up in the air.

The men’s and women’s finals in Taree were cancelled at the last minute on Saturday due to the regional lockdown.

Organisers are waiting on further health advice to decide if or when the finals are played.

The inaugural season is already being heralded a success, attracting the coast’s top players.

“Our premier league competition has got some very talented individuals we got an ex-Australian player we’ve got several State players across all the teams it’s been that strong of a competition,” Manning Valley Hockey Association’s Tony Lewis said.

There are no plans to delay the Manning or Port Hastings competitions, with finals underway next month.
