The number of COVID cases in New South Wales has jumped overnight to 466, with at least 60 of those infectious while in the community – a spike which has sent the entire state into lockdown at from 5pm.
The state also recorded four deaths: a man in his 70s from south western Sydney died at Liverpool Hospital, a man in his 80s from south western Sydney died at Concord Hospital, a woman in her 40s from northern Sydney at Concord Hospital and a woman in her 70s from south western Sydney at Campbelltown hospital.
13 new cases were recorded in the Hunter New England Health district overnight.

The health network previously reported 16, but two people have since tested negative and one was determined to be from outside the local district.
Armidale’s lockdown is being extended by another week, however there are no new cases in Armidale or Tamworth today.
An alarming situation is playing out in western New South Wales, which recorded 26 new cases, the majority in Dubbo and Walgett.
