South Sydney star Dane Gagai is returning to the Newcastle Knights, putting pen to paper on a three-year deal.
The 30-year-old played 128 games for Newcastle between the 2012 and 2017 seasons, scoring 29 tries.
He’s been with the Rabbitohs since 2018.
The club says Gagai has opted to return to his old club, despite a raft of interest from others.
“We couldn’t be happier to secure Dane’s signature,” said general manager, Danny Buderus.
