TAMWORTH COUNCIL TO ROLL UP ITS SLEEVES IN ANNUAL BLOOD CHALLENGE

Tamworth Regional Council staff will roll up their sleeves for this year’s ‘Local Government Blood Challenge’.

The three month competition aims to get more locals making lifesaving donations.

Tamworth has performed well in recent years – contributing nearly 1,200 donations in 2020 alone.

“It’s a very, very worthy cause. I’m particularly proud of all our staff and family and friends of council who’ve been so successful over the past few years, since 2016 in fact, in helping to save lives through the donation of blood.”

Residents can contribute to the tally by booking a donation as a ‘Friend of Council’.

The campaign ends on September 30.
