A man is receiving treatment in hospital tonight, after he was injured in the surf at Byron Bay this morning.
Just before midday, emergency crews responded to the incident at Tallow Beach.
It’s believed he was dumped by a wave and suffered spinal injuries.
He was taken to Tweed Hospital in a stable condition.
