A driver has managed to escape injury, after his semi-trailer caught fire in the Tenterfield CBD overnight.
Residents reported hearing two loud bangs at around 1am.
It’s understood the driver pulled over on Rouse Street and climbed out of the vehicle before the back carriage burst into flames.
Six fire crews arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze within half an hour, preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings.
