The Shooters Fishers and Farmers has announced Sue Gilroy as the party’s candidate for the Upper Hunter by-election, in Singleton today.
Mrs. Gilroy is the President of the Singleton Business Chamber, and has worked in mining and nursing.
She says the Upper Hunter has been a safe seat for too long, and change is needed.
“Whether it’s on resources for regions funding, lack of hospital services, roads that haven’t been fixed in decades, or the constant attacks on coal and farming – enough is enough.
“I wish all the other candidates the best of luck. It’s going to be a tough race. Finally, our region is going to get the attention it deserves.”
